I grew up in a musical family. Everyone played at least one instrument and was expected to sing along in full harmony at every family gathering. I was content with just keyboards and voice until one day when I heard about renting a harp. I took to it quite naturally and soon I was purchasing one of my own.
I have studied with Linda Wood, Karen Gottlieb, Susann McDonald, and Alice Chalifoux. Although I know traditional harp repertoire, my talent lies mainly in my ability to play popular songs so that people can recognize their favorite tunes. I have played brunches and dinners at many fine hotels in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1994/95 I was the harpist at the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong.
Weddings are my favorite. I enjoy setting the mood for the day and matching the music to the wedding party. I have played for weddings at churches, country clubs, B&B's, private homes, wineries (including the cellars), and several beaches.
I live with my husband in Brentwood, CA. (San Francisco Bay Area).
